Soccer Gemz

Soccer GemzSoccer Gemz understands that children at an early age tend to be kinetics learners meaning they learn best by doing. Soccer Gemz curriculum is designed to empower each child with this opportunity, which is why each child is provided an individual ball. By focusing on this concept during sessions Soccer Gemz instructors will introduce fun games and skills by demonstration, evaluation and then correction.

Soccer is one sport that many children can participate in at an early age. Soccer Gemz operates with a simple concept and that is to make sure your child is having fun and learning in the process. We offer a mommy and me class for our 18mo-2 year olds who are extremely excited to show their parent new moves. While our 3-5 year old class is designed to keep their imagination active with individual instruction. And our 6-8 year old class begins focusing more on skills and techniques improvement. On the final Saturday of our 7 week session we host a fun day where each child will receive a medal and get to enjoy face painting, bounce houses, ice cream and pizza for their participation. The focal point for each class level is the same and that is to make sure your child plays, have fun and repeats.

  • Emeraldz: 7-8 years

(Mommy/Daddy & Me)

This is a critical time where children develop their brain along and what better way to help this process than by providing a  fun stimulating environment. During this class parents will be required to participate in drills with Rubyz by using a variety of props, language and activities encouraging toddlers to participate in class sessions. Ruybz will play organized games to develop listening techniques, basic ball control, foot-eye coordination and motor skills that are introduced through fun exercises, that also build fundamentals such as balance, gross motor skills and social interaction. Goals, goals and more goooooooooooooals will be scored!

This course is designed to help toddlers combine basic soccer and movement. Children continue to develop fundamental foot-eye coordination by learning basic skills of kicking, passing and trapping the ball including shooting and passing with different parts of their foot. Coaches will continue to emphasize the importance of team work and social skills by sharing and taking turns during drills and games. This course is designed to increase listening skills during games and activities while maintaining a high energy fun environment. This is the first class where Pearlz are completely independent to help increase confidence and self sufficiency. The Pearlz curriculum is the ideal course for new and veteran Gemz that enjoy exciting physical and social activities! Pearlz curriculum is designed to combine previous lessons and activities so your child maintains the concept of Soccer Gemz philosophy.

In this class, Diamondz will continue to focus on building their independency by participating in fun, exciting and engaging activities taught in unique and creative ways. Diamondz are introduced to more advanced skills in addition to familiar language and drills that reinforces their previous skills of passing, shooting and ball control like dribbling with their heads up and changing directions to score goals. During this session Diamondz will apply these skills in a variety of situations while playing in non competitive mini games. This class encourages Diamondz to utilize both feet in various drills centered on basic game situations. Coaches will continue to emphasize of the development of motor skills and foot-eye coordination helping your child progress naturally and prepared to move forward. The focus of the class will be to combine all the learned skills in previous classes where they can be utilized in non competitive mini-games situations while continuing to incorporate physical fitness and social interaction. Diamondz began to learn defense tactics.

Classes are developed and structured to focus more on teamwork and improvement of tactical skills. Players learn more advance fundamental skills through fun age appropriate activities. The coaches and activities remain focused on fun and exciting games, but the skills and activities become more challenging. This class encourages Emeraldz to utilize both feet in various drills centered on basic game situations. In addition to the basic skills of passing, shooting and ball control players will learn heading and one or two touch techniques. Emeraldz will be introduced to additional concepts of defense where they begin to challenge for the ball. Coaches will teach age appropriate games and techniques with emphasis on technical development and decision making skills. The focus of the class will be to combine all the learned skills in previous classes where they can be utilized in non competitive mini-games situations while continuing to incorporate physical fitness and social interaction. Emeraldz will the opportunity to utilize their skills in mini games to further thier development.
