Q. What equipment does my child need to participate in your classes?
A. All the equipment (balls, goals, cones etc) required for participation will be provided by Soccer Gemz.
Q. Will my child need anything else?
A. Your child should dress in appropriate active wear; sneakers, shorts, t-shirt, or sweats, according to weather conditions. They should also have liquid for hydration. In addition, shin guards are not required but highly recommended. Each child is given their own soccer ball for the class and the majority of the time they are kicking that ball as opposed to kicking at each other!
Q. What happens if it rains or is too hot?
A. Call or check website, if there is no mention of cancelation come out to the field. For the latest most up to date information call no earlier than 45 minutes before class. If your class is canceled we will add a make-up class to the end of the regularly scheduled classes unless told otherwise.
Q. Is there seating available for parents?
A. Our location has limited seating available, so we highly recommend bringing a lawn or outdoor folding chair. You will be there for at least 60 minutes.
Q. Do I need to stay for the entire class?
A. We recommend parent attendance to boost child confidence and ensure the safety of their child. Children will not be released to unknown individuals.
Q. Is this a league?
A. We are developmental program for 18mo-8 y/o, our classes are designed to let the child explore their talents and develop the appropriate basic skills for the game of soccer. We emphasize sportsmanship and effort, while having fun!
Q. What is your refund policy?
A. Refunds are evaluated on an individual basis.
Q. Can I request that my child be placed in a group with his/her friend or sibling?
A. Absolutely!! We register all ages (18mo to 8) at every class. On the first day of class, we will break the class into smaller groups by age. At this time your child can remain with his/her friend(s). If there is ever any confusion, just speak to one of the coaches and they will insure that your child is with his/her friend(s).
