Test Your Gemz' Skillz with the SoccerGemz Skills Challenge
SoccerGemz offers a fun-based skills challenge for players that are in our Pearlz and Diamondz age groups. This challenge provides our players with an opportunity to test their skillz at various stations and helping them improve their skills in a fun environment. These stations consist of:
- Dribbling
- Passing
- Shooting
- Agility
- Obstacle course

The Focus of SoccerGemz Skills Challenges
SoccerGemz Skills Challenges create a fun way to encourage and challenge your child in their soccer skills and abilities. Our challenges are offered to Pearlz and Diamondz age groups, ages 3 years old to 10 years old.
Each age group challenges your child based on age-appropriate target benchmarks.

Our skillz challenge goals test age-appropriate benchmarks for your child's skill progress in challenges of dribbling, agility, shooting, passing, and obstacle courses.
For the 3-5 age group of our Pearlz class, some of our benchmark goals are:
- Stop the ball from a pass with either foot
- Perform pull back move
- Score goal from 5-10ft away
- Pass or take the ball from peers
- Dribble with both feet
- Do not use hands
- Use inside/top of the foot to pass the ball
Our skillz challenge goals test age-appropriate benchmarks for your child's skill progress in challenges of dribbling, agility, shooting, passing, and obstacle courses.
For the 6-8 age group of our Diamondz class, some of our benchmark goals are:
- Score in the correct goal
- Performs the move of the day correctly
- Dribble between cones
- Dribble with head up
- Control the ball
- Pass or take the ball from peers
Skills Challenge Details:
Each station will allow the participants to complete the station twice. The best time and or score will determine their standings. Listed below are brief description of each station.
Dribbling- Watch as your GEM races against the clock through a course of poles and cones. Each participant gets two attempts at dribbling through the course as fast as they can.
Passing- Nail a pass through the golden arcs for accuracy! Each participant attempts five passes from various distances and angles through our golden arcs. Each participant will get two opportunities to combine the amount of balls successfully passed through the arcs for a total score.
Shooting-Take a shot, make a shot at the goal to score big points! Each participant attempts 5 shots from various distance and angles on the field. Each participant must take a shot from inside each designated hula hoop. The winner for this challenge will have a total combination score shots made during both trials.
Agility- Watch as your gem show off their agility as they take off down the field zipping through our speed ladder, weaving in and out of poles before ending up at our color ball pit where they will run forward and backwards to place it on top of a cone.
Obstacle Course- Your gem will now be able to master our obstacle course because they just warmed up on the previous stations. The obstacle course is a combination of dribbling, shooting, passing and agility all in one. Watch as your gem walks across our balance beam, crawl through our tunnel, jumps over our volcano cones before dribbling around our poles to score a goal faster than the opponent.
